We believe that common stocks will continue to produce excellent returns over the long term, outpacing other alternatives.  We believe further that good investment results can be achieved within the constraints of acceptable risk.  We are therefore investors, emphasizing common stocks where possible, but also using a number of techniques to reduce portfolio risk.  We are committed to growth, but equally committed to preserving our clients’ capital.
